DO MY HOMEWORK FOR ME!

Christ, you could have left out the number of marks and made it a *little* less obvious.

Anyway, tell me, what made you think that this was an appropriate website for getting help with your homework? There's occasionally a pseudo-intellectual discussion about politics in which teenagers try to sound smart by spouting clichés, but you're not going to get any decent help on this. Then again, you're not going to get any decent help on any internet forum.

But I suppose it doesn't matter. If VGchartz does your homework for you, you'll get the mark you deserve.

I just needed soft "hints" in what I arguments I can use just to anchor me in the right direction. Thats all I was looking for.

I agree with reggin's post. You definitely need to look at Hume's problem of induction. Then look at Kant's claim that there is such a thing as synthetic, a priori truths. You can then look at how Hume would reply. I haven't read Sartre, but I know Bertrand Russell criticized Kant's argument in his Problems of Philosophy.

If I knew how you were structuring the paper, I could give you more advice. If you are including Plato, you might also want to look at Aristotle response to him concerning universals and particulars. Also, for Kuhn, his paradigm shifts is important, but the main thing you want to look at for this topic is his claim that all observations are dependent on background knowledge (generally referred to as observations being theory dependent).

You can go about it from an Eastern perspective too, Hindu philosophy is pretty big on illusions, "maya", and the limits of perception.

Good idea!

Schopenhauer worked pretty much on that idea. He somehow crossed Kant's legacy and the hindu philosophy.

He has really bad press but I strongly recomend anyone to read his main work, The world as will and representation.

I would proably recommend Hegel or Heidegger on that matter... i think. It`s been 5 years since i touched philosophy. :D
Most of the things i learnt are in the past aswell! :D Still like it though.

Just answer "because.".

I don't even pretend to sound smart by going to into political threads. And I fit the bill of a teenager.

Anyway, you've only had 140 posts. You can't discuss the intelligence of this community, which i consider to be very much above average.
