Forums - Sony - Sony announces spring PS3 release schedule

When the heck is SE brining CC over to the states danmit!

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Proud supporter of all 3 console companys

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

I believe Killzone2/GT5/MGS4/Home/LBP will be release when finished.
Considering how is late the whole PS3 boat, I would take bet for Q4 2008 ...

Time to Work !

Wow, a bunch more game that I have no interest in. My room mate has all three systems and there are 4 of us gamers living in the house and I don't think the PS3 has been turned on since we moved in 4 months ago. Maybe when FF13 comes out we will use it, too bad that is 1 to 2 years away.

Why's LBP being delayed?

Isn't the game just basically a background and a bunch of balls in the way? ok, I'm simplefying things.. but still its a 2d game... how complex could it possibly be.

Do you know what LBP is? It's a game where you create every level... If there isn't a massive amount of stuff in it, it isn't what was promised. It's a very big project, bigger than most other games. Those levels you see are stuff you make in the game, so take whatever is in the level and multiply it by tens of thousands, that's how much stuff should be in the game when it comes out (if not more). Of course after that DLC and players will make it even bigger. Players can actually mold the game to whatever genre they want: Action, puzzle adventure, 2D fighting game, side scrolling (or vertical shooter), maybe even RPG.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

@Rugger: a few game suggestions for you- Resistance, Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, Warhawk, Motorstorm, Heavenly Sword, Unreal Tournament III, Eye of Judgment, Super Stardust HD, Everyday Shooter, Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

Between all those I'm sure you'll like a thing or two...

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

So they got nothing big apart from gt5? (mind you not even the full game) I think they need better than that to compete with Nintendo and m$.

Yeah, it's definitly a must buy. It's like "Klik N play" but more focused. That was a good game but it's so unfocused that you have to keep making new sprites for everything because the library was way too small.

That's all they have... if you ignore things like 3rd party exclusives. Which, there is no reason to do that. So there is no reason to worry. You arn't going to win a first party war vs Nintendo... good first party titles for Sony are just a bonus, they need to combat Nintendos first party with their third party.

Actually Sonys 1st party is excellent with huge resources. But has gone AWOL. Upto now Sony has largely released new 2nd party stuff such as drivel like Heavenly Sword, Lair. Sony has a ton of studios where we havent even heard a peep yet. One of the big reasons for the ps3's major struggles. And yet it goes on, looks like Q1 2008 is looking very underwhelming aswell.

Maybe the PS3 is so powerful and complicated that Sony themselves can't program for it>
