Well, it would have better graphics but lag wouldn't probably be any better (it may even be worse). Remember, lag is not dependent on internet speed but on distance and other factors. A lot of times 1 mbit/s connection has smaller lag than 1 gbit/s connection. Playing from US servers in Europe will never be lag-free because distance alone creates noticeable lag. It is impossible to remove that lag.
