Forums - General - Contemporary cities in videogames

Hi!

I would like to ask you for help. I'm starting to write my thesis about The Vision of Contemporary Cities in Videogames, so I would like you to help me find out all the videogames you can think about set in contemporary cities and which ones do you think are the more important or influential ones. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks!

No videogames set in my town of Jyväskylä yet. It's not fair. ;___;

Sure, we love doing peoples work for them that have never bothered posting here ever. We'll get right on that...

no. especially nothing related to GTA. Not an influential game, not set in modern day cities.

I mean hello, do you know anything about gaming?

I'll do what I can. Take every videogame ever set in a large city. Alright, those ones are all in New York.

There. I've done my part.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

You sir fail on so many levels. I mean, what about LA? And i most definitely remember that the home town in Chrono Trigger is closely resembling Würzburg in Germany. Or was it Pilsen in Czech Rep?

 And just so I don't seem like such a jerk, lemme explain myself a little.

You're doing a damn thesis project.  these require lots and lots of research which generally isn't spamming every message board you can think of asking people to do your work for you.  Now, you may have done some work but since this is your first post we know nothing about you or your work ethic so I just have to assume you're a lazy bum who wants to do a cool easy thesis.

 So in short: do your own damn work for your own thesis.  Those are supposed to take time.  If you actually made the effort to get know on these board I might actually take the effort to help you.

Don't worry, I'll write it for you and include full citations and cross-referencing.

Ahem.
