This isn't a huge deal right now but it's a big step for people who buy Beatles albums starting today. Remember that there are millions of kids out there who will fall in love with The Beatles but don't even own a CD player. It's just another way for Apple to cement themselves as the premiere digital retailer of music.

Kind of hard to download from iTunes without a computer :P

My iPhone seems to do it just fine. So do iPods and iPads.

I didn't say impossible, but still how many people own ipads without owning a computer?

Edit: Or DVD players, Car stereos, game systems, or CD equipped clocks? Saying there are millions who don't have CD players, yet somehow have access to iTunes is kind of silly... =P

Okay, to slightly alter my statement... there are millions who don't BUY CDs anymore or use them for music. I'm one of them. People technically have access to them, they just don't use the media for anything. Shit, I ran out of blank CD-Rs a year ago and never bothered to replace them because it took me three years to go through a small stack of the things.
