They didn't put it on PSN cause they know Disgaea fans would pay full price for it.

also, i'd put Suikoden tactics after FF Tactics Advance i believe. Front Mission likely ahead of FF Tactics (haven't played Jeanne D'Arc yet).

Not sure where i'd put the Super Robot Wars series. somwhere bwetween Ogre Battle and Final Fantasy Tactics.

Hogishami Ruining Blue Earth is tough too... I enjoyed it less then disgaia but that might just of been because there was a lot of grinding and the story sucked.

I forgot Front Mission. I'd put it around the same as the FFT series.

I'm not sure why Disgaea 3 is on the PS3. From a technical standpoint the game could just as easily have been made on the Gameboy Advance. I suppose it could have been put there in anticipation of the PS3 picking up the PS2's userbase, but that doesn't really seem like something Nippon Ichi would do. The sales for the series have always blown. Meh, to each his own.

Yeah, I might be biased because i've played through Front Mission 3 god knows how many times. Still haven't played through Front Mission 4 once though. Just not as good. Ever play "Super Robot Wars OG" and "OG 2", they were on the Gameboy Advance and i think they had a combined version that went somewhere... PS2 or DS. They're pretty good games desite my hate of handheld gaming. The story kinda sucks and is jumbled, but apparently it's an adapted story for a series of games that were originally meant to combine a bunch of famous japanese Super Robots. It's a shame we can't get the namebanrd versions over, but SRPG + Large liscensing fees = instant losses.

Yeah, that is a mystery as to why the PS3 was chosen for this game. The graphics are nothing to be proud off and despite the fact that it looks like a fun game, I dunno what the motivation was. I would have atleast expected a PS2/Wii version as well to ensure sales.

Yeah, but they are just weird people. They clearly don't make Disgaea for the sales. I doubt a single Disgaea game has ever even broke even given how poorly they sell. They don't make them to push hardware either obviously. I'm not sure there is any particular logic behind the decisions they make with the Disgaea series other than "They felt like it."

I dunno. I mean, they all seem to use the exact same engine, and in some cases.... VERY similar graphics and in other cases, graphics directly lifted from one game to the next. With that and the other Disgaea family games (Phantom Brave/Makai Kingdom/La Pucelle Tactics) I can imagine it costs them that much. They might of just started making this way in advance and figured at the time the PS3 would be the most popular, being such a small studio it might take them a while to do this stuff.

Shin Megami Tensei is a strategy RPG? Granted, I'm playing the original right now and know next to nothing about the sequels, but that one is a straight up RPG, at least.

Now, Fire Emblem > Ogre Battle/Tactics Ogre > Final Fantasy Tactics > La Pucelle/Disgaea (II)/Phantom Brave/Makai Kingdom is something I can get behind!

Sorry haha no. What happened was I meant to put Jeanne D'Arc there initially, then I realized I hadn't and edited it to add Jeanne D'Arc, but forgot to delete SMT haha. I have a habit of typing one thing when I'm thinking another.

I think there were a couple SMT games that were SRPGS but never left Japan, they had different names slightly though.

I like it.  I wonder how long until it sees NA.
