I was at the movies and saw the trailer for this. Didn't know the title of the movie during the trailer. My friend turned to me and said "They've made Resistance: FoM into a movie". And he was dead serious that they thought a movie adaptation had been made.

Then the title of the movie came up on screen at the end of the trailer and all anticipation disappeared.

The FX company for BAttle: LA was the makers of this film.  They purchased new computers and FX stuff to work on Battle: LA and then used the same FX stuff to work on their movie at night time.  So it will look like a $100 million dollar project on the cheap.
