Forums - Gaming - What can companies do to lose fanboys (besides go under)?

Ooo! I know! Make several really bad sequels to a franchise that has many fanboys! That's what SE did with FF and Star Ocean!

Lol but did that really stop fanboys. I could make a post saying why FF13 was so bad now and I bet FF fanboys would come flocking to the rescue of that game

SE was obviously sick of being expected to make great games. They can't spend all their time trying to perfect a game anymore, they're a huge company now.

i think fanboys that change their companies are not really fanboys...a real fanboy will never change the company...i would still buy Playstation games even if they kill my mother...

I disagree with the original statement for obvious reasons. The Wii was built around motion control and Sony and Microsoft's attempt at boosting sales is only one of many features each system has. I think Sony and Microsoft fanboys would be a lot more outragged if motion control were the system standard. Since it isn't, it only helps show why the HD twins have more to offer. Freedom to chose.
