I was thinking 750 or 1000 word limit to keep it manageable on the forum, without being to limiting to fleshing out the story and characters.

as for "And I could help judge" no you couldn't lol you would have to pick one; ) can't have people judging their own work can we now lol.

I'm really interested in this contest. I have been told I am a good writer by teachers I know but I would be really interested in people who don't know me personally to critique my writing. Even if no actual prize is given, I would definitely would like to enter as just the though of unbiased judges critique my writing skills. Creative writing is an interest of mine so it would be a good idea for me to enter. Whatever the theme is required for the competition, I should at the very least come up with an interesting concept.

yea maybe I will just run a fortnightly (gives people time to write) thread and maybe pick the top 5 and making a poll so people can vote for their favourite just for bragging rights lol.
