Forums - Sony - So The Fight: Lights Out has 47 Metascore. IGN is still wrong?

IGN still sucks. It's just that they got it right this time.

updated: 14.01.2012

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

For comparisons sake, this is the IGN review for Fighters Uncaged on the Kinect:

Closing Comments
Fighters Uncaged is the worst game to come out of Kinect's launch, hands down. It looks and plays like it was rushed. The motion controls are unresponsive, the game is static and unflattering, and the progression system is not only tedious, but misses the point of a fighting game. Just walk away from this fight, it isn't worth it.

3/10

I think they're hate towards unresponsive fighting games just doesn't go against The Fights for the move.

The fact is that everybody agrees that Fighters Uncaged is one of the worst game ever programmed (read the Joystick review), while The Fight is simply too hardcore for some (well it's a mediocre game, but it is not a total mess like Fighters Uncaged).

P.S. IGN gave a 75 to Sonic Free Riders, which is an unresponsive and laggish game (meta: 57).

Well it looks like IGN definitely wasn't alone as there are now three review scores of 30 for the game (out of 10 total!). The avg. has dropped under 50 again.

Also first week sales for the game (in EMEAA) are out: 10,785

starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"

And now it is at 50 again:

The Fight: 50 (12 reviews; 1 good, 7 average, 4 bad; lowest score 30)

Fighters Uncaged: 33 (11 reviews; 1 good, 1 average, 9 bad; lowest score 10)

The fact that IGN gave the same score to The Fight and Fighters Uncaged is a sign of inconsistency. And it's noteworthy that FU got its only decent reviews from two official xbox magazines, otherwise it would be under 30.

P.S. just for comparison, Metro GameCentral TF 30/FU 10, GameRevolution TF 42/FU 25.

The Gaming Age and The Sixth Axis reviews sound pretty fair to me, after seeing the iWaggle video review any review scoring under 50% or complaining about broken controls should be made null and void imo. It seems to me that a great deal of these reviewers are severely unfit and/or can't punch their way out of a paper bag lol. I wrote the game off as a load of old bollocks with broken controls after reading the first two reviews (from Video Gamer and IGN), but the iWaggle video review changed my mind completely, especially when it was noted that the muppet from IGN wasn't even calibrating the controls properly!!!

I haven't got my copy yet but I'm really looking forward to getting it.

GT add more salt to the wound

I know some people had wrote positive reviews about this, but I'm sorry this look bad. From any aspect, and where are the colors???

3.6.. that's the worst score I can remember from GT for any Move game.

Pixel Art can be fun.

For the record, it's written on the PS3 boxes whether it's 1st party or not.

thw iWaggle review is pure fanboy reviewing bullshit.

You dont have to adapt yourself to fit the game. The characters are suposed to punch just like you're doing. And they don't do that. That's unquestionable.

I hope Fight Night Champion can bring a true boxing 1:1 experience IF it gets move support.
