If one must go, I would say microsoft. Two reasons.

1. Microsoft has added nothing great. Halo is the best thing microsoft has ever done, and halo is NOT microsoft. Microsoft bought Bungie about 6 months before release of Halo. So really, microsoft has done nothing buy buy the best minds in the world. (and for some reason, they have all left the studios they sold to microsoft years earlier).

2. If microsoft goes, that leaves sony in the only spot for a real console, as when the Gimmick Wii sales start to drop. Sony is the only real competitor. PS3 FOR TEH WIN!!! BLARG RAVING SONY FANBOY!!!

But no. Seriously, 2 is not serious, but 1 is. 

 That pretty much sums up my feelings on the market. 

Hahaha...no, but if she's going to make over-the-top generalizations about people, then I am going to make generalizations about her.

But to comment on this topic.... I would have to say Microsoft. I already have an Xbox, it's called my PC. I have 3 of them at home, and I have 1 at work. I really don't need to see Microsoft on my TV when I play games. I can play FPSs on my PC, where they belong.....for free.  

Actually I agree with luckydemon on the fact that parrents are buying their 6-10 year olds Wii's instead of the PS3 they want because they cant afford the PS3, dont want to afford the PS3, And they buy the Wii as a cheaper choice.

The controls are honestly nothing special, though you may have an easier time remembering that "trip attack" = "swing remote sideways", it's essentially a button replacement.  It's still a fun game but it's basically the same game as is on the other platforms except the 360 version has HD graphics and online co-op/vs modes.  I made another post about it in the "Educate me on the Wii controls" thread the dude with the long name of systems created (PS3N64somethingsomething).

I wasn't arguing that, more on the first paragraph. I know some Nintendo fans that managed to move out of their parents' basement........they still play DnD though.

I finally got off DnD...now all I need to do is get out of this damn basement..

Microsoft/Sony should go because they are in for the money. Nintendo wants people to be happy and they innovate. Sony/Microsoft have not done anything for the gaming community and have not brought anything new to the market.

Its not that i hate the 360, because i surely do love the games on it and Xbox live rocks. But I can't shake the feeling that Microsoft is the exact same thing as a child molester. It lures with candy now but when you bite and it takes you to his place, don't be surpised to be taken hard from behind.

Microsoft destroyed all the competition in the PC world, stole and bought all their ideas and now force every company in the world who uses Windows to upgrade to Vista because they're not going to support XP anymore (ka$hing). And i don't even wanne think about their plans with Live anywhere. I'm pretty sure that in time Games for Windows (PC games doh!) will be Live anywhere exclusive for playing online. And since every game on the PC is a Microsoft game i see really bad times coming for us and developers. You can't just say No to Live anywhere because then your game wouldnt be released.

Sony isnt doing a hell of a good job with the PS3 but its still the exact same strategy as the PSOne and PS2. So you can't really say that they're destroying the gaming industry by having blu-ray and a console which costs 600$, because the PS2 and PSone did the same thing in the past. Sony has been the company that pushed the industry to newer levels. For example just look at what the PSP has done to Nintendo's way of making handhelds. If Sony hadnt been in the console/handheld industry i'm pretty sure we'd still be playing on 8 a 16 bit crappy handhelds and playing N64 games on consoles.

Nintendo is doing a great job with the Wii by bringing in new people and expanding the industry. But they do neglet the real gamers because the games suck ass big time. playing tons of party games, PS2 ports and cancelled GameCube games gets boring really fast. I own a Wii and i do play with it a lot with my friends, i see it as the ultimate party console but it sure as hell isnt a great singleplayer console. Still Nintendo is the only gaming company that's being innovative right now imo and is keeping the games-industry fresh which is really important.

Anyway Nintendo and Sony have to stay, but Microsoft have to pack their bags immediately before they destroy the gaming industry... in 10 a 20 years
