No, Sony's video-gaming division is certainly in direct competition with Nintendo. And they most certainly don't want Ninty to succeed and have their products shunted to the side.

Over PSN? Lol I don't talk to anyone on my PSN chat except maybe Xxain.

I'm talking about real life. All of my family and friends find 3D waste of money as well as just a tacked on feature. Hell I watched Avatar at the theaters in 3D and I was dieing just to go back and re-watch it in 2D because it would have been so much better.

While I agree, 3D is or seem out of reach to many. Primarily the cost, but also the installation and the lack of support.

3DS on the contrary will not be out of reach. Price will be affordable. Theres no special installation or requirements involve. And it will have only 1 3D format by default. All of that make it simple and accessible for common people as compare to current solution. It will surely gather more interest then 3D currently is.

I can't judge it yet honestly as I have never seen it. I do respect what Nintendo is trying to do with the device.
