Well the same can be said for microsoft and nitendo too since their companies out to make as much profit as possible. So it's not just a sony thing.

I know gamers like to think Sony and Nintendo as enemies but in reality they both trying to make a profit. It's just business.  It's stupid not to wish 3DS success if it will sell more 3D TV.

It would be the same with Iracing developers hoping  GT5 will be a huge success. Console sims like Gt and Forza has known to draw some into more hardcore PC sims like Iracing.

I disagree, nintendo and Sony aren't really in that much direct competition, I mean even with only them in handheld market their devices are pointed at entirely different audiences and few people buy one instead of the other most people are only interested in one or buy both, and Sony seems to care more about their other electronics then the ps3 to be perfectly honest, ps3 was designed to sell other Sony products, and be pirate free for when they expanded into developing countries more then anything, and it is doing what they want it to, and if nintendo helps them sell 3d tvs, they'll be glad for it, even at the cost of a few psp sales 

I wonder if these companies actually ask themselves if the people really want 3D. Everyone I know doesn't.
