considering the fact that the sole female protagonist in the game is objectified and exploited, I very much DOUBT most women would like Heavy Rain.

EDIT: I criticized Cliffy B too hard. Cliffy B, good luck with Gears of War 3, you just lost a customer.
My wife and I both played it earlier this year. She still talks about how it's the best game she's played this year...
Other games she played: Dragon Age (which she liked alot too), Assassin's Creed 2, Civilization Revolution, Final Fantasy XIII (which she didn't finish - I don't blame her!), and now playing Sims 3.

well if anyone had looked at my thread (http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=118928&page=1&str=1801526089#) about the interview this was said in people could have heard the quote in context, it's a very interesting interview/discussion between Ken Levine and Cliff Bleszinski...

Very quickly, does it matter if I buy the move edition or regular edition? Is there a patch available for the regular edition to use move?
"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY." --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

to me heavy rain isn't exactly a great game for female, honestly the game is pretty "dad"-centric. The gameplay however i can see being extreemly appealing to the female audience. if heavy rain was a bit less dark and violent with maybe a larger focus on the interaction between characters,...could be huge.
... and gears of war is perfect for douchebags!
jk, i actually think gears is a great franchise, i just couldnt resist because of those ridiculously small T-shirts cliff always wears.

There's a patch. So far as I know the Move edition is the same game just the updated code - plus maybe the one episode of DLC.
I haven't look at prices but I'm guessing the cheaper option would be to get Heavy Rain original and patch it. Just be aware that it might be a big patch. I haven't got around to it yet but a friend said it was over 1GB so clearly the patch is really just downloading the Move edition elements onto your HDD.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
