Keep in mind UbiSoft was the biggest supporter of Wii at launch.

Ubisoft is one of the publisher that is responsible for a lot of (if not most) the crap games that block the shelves for better Wii games.

Can't dissagree there, But at least they put fourth an effort while EA kept blabbing on and on about how Wii wasn't viable. It took EA like a year or two before they began supporting it. Activision was another slow to come around company that wouldn't shut up about how the Wii was going to fail.

I would rather see a company support a platform and fail to deliver great content, then bash it constantly and never try, then come around two years later and give us only the odd solid game.

Hopefully UbiSoft manages to make some better games for 3DS and Nin-Next then they did with DS and Wii! Their hearts in the right place but the quality sucks!

They lied about how well it was actually selling and you think they won't lie about predictions? They only uped the predictions because move was going to easily clear the 3 mil bar, so they want to look like they can do more even if they can't

Well how well did it actually sell?

All you seem to know is the pre order numbers in NA.

Where is the lying?

They said it was sold out everywhere with preorders, it wasn't

No they didnt. Retailers said they were sold out.  Sold out of the allocation they were given to be exact.  Also sold out of what? Sold out of standalone or sold out of bundle or both?  I suspect they were talking about allocation of standalone.  MS certainly believes they need more bundles than standalone. After all that is what Kinect is meant to sell more 360s to non 360 owners.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

ofcourse, with ms giving out kinects to associations and to burger king, to oprah, theiy are going to need to produce more. and ofcourse those give aways will cause more demand, which will lead to more production.

when something has a 500 million marketing budget were 90% of it is in the us, their are ofcourse going to be more demands.

Get a perspective mate, the BK thing is 2600 units, the Boys and girl clubs was about 4000 units, and I bet Oprah and Ellen were 2000 max a peice .. that's 10k units ... out of the 5 million they're shipping.

But of course, keep fooling yourself Kinect is going to sell loads because MS is giving them all away if it makes it any easier for you ...

i was joking.

good overreaction!

keep fooling myself? i know kinect is going to sell but loads, did i ever state that it isnt. i dont care weather kinect fails or is a massive succes, it doesnt bother me that my favorite console wont be 1st or 2nd, or that it isnt moving tons of hardware and software. ofcourse i care about sales but i dont hate the other consoles, and i dont want them and their games to flop.

you should seriously stop profiling people. ofcourse kinect has been getting lots of hate, but come on, i thought you knew me by know :(

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

you got to love these guys who act like they know what they are talking about. It really annoys me when i see someone trying to say they lied about sales or they feel threatened buy Sony move. Why would MS feel threatened when move came out two months earlier and kinect has been our for only a week.

After all this, there are no official numbers.

But, from my perspective, Kinect will be huge this holiday. When I watch the reactions of people who finally use the technology, they can't believe it works and they enjoy it. The smiles are hard to wipe off their faces.

While many are calling this motion control, there is nothing really like it on the market. It's more like body control. The Wii and Move cannot come close to duplicating what you can do with Kinect, since they only are measuring the point where the controller is located.

So, in my opinion, Microsoft is the only company on the market offering an experience like this. And the Wii showed in the past that if you are the only one offering a certain type of product, you will be successful, because there is only one place you can buy the experience.

it didn't even have half a million preorders lol

It didn't have half a million pre-orders from one retailer...  vgc numbers aren't the most accurate and the pre-ord numbers are only for Amazon
