I find the technology itself fascinating, but the fact that I know a lot of people who simply won't get Kinect to work in their rooms beyond troubling. Given that Microsoft conducted a beta program with actual consumers, this issue is doubly surprising, but it could just be that Kinect just works that way (or doesn't, given your room) and there's no way short of redesigning the sensor to fix it.

Sorry but the only reason the Wii sold millions is because you got a superior game for free with the system. Paying over $200 for the item and a sports game is a complete deal breaker. This will inevitably get the "have to get" sales but after the first rush it will lose momentum. This really isn't suited to gaming and is marketed in the wrong market really.

Pretty encouraging stuff especially when coming from non gaming resources which is critical for the casual market. It is actually pretty positive even from the gaming circles and I am little suprised by that.

Wow what do you know? Print magazines and sites that appeal to the target consumer of families and "casuals" are rating it better then "Hardcore" sites. How so unexcpected >.>
