I love the beatles by the songs people dont notice rather than for the classics (except hey jude of course and a day in the life :p)

BEATLES = GOD

I don't really like the beatles. I only like their mainstream stuff like Back in the USSR, Revolution, Hey Jude, etc.

Agreed, but I also love Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, The who , Pink Floyd, Hendrix, bowie, Clapton, Buddy Holly, Bob Dylan, Velvet Underground, some of Marvin Gaye, Marley, Robert Johnson, Beach Boys, Joplin, bb King, Depp Purple, some of Chuck Berry, Black Sabbath (both with Ozzy and Dio), Fleetwood Mac, Simon and Garfunkel, willie dixon, Kris kristofferson, and many MANY others ;)

I just wanted to mention some of my faves to see if Anyone agrees ;)

Sorry if I dragged too long.

Across the universe!

Oh and Revolution One. Much better than the more well known single version.

i thought when you said beatles you mean't the band not paul and ringo!

anyways why didn't anyone mention "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" ?  , is it popular ?

i also don't know if this is also popular.

but to be honest i like Paul's solo work more than Beatles work , why ? well most of their music especially the popular ones they made felt like the "hot as pants" american music like elvis at that time , with their "Yeahs" and "Babys"

as for paul this is awesome

I live for the burn...and the sting of pleasure...

Yes, very. Excellent song, no doubt, but everyone knows it, so not really underrated.

Do You Want To Know a Secret fits the bill, though, since it's not very well known (though it's not my cup of tea)

@ Severance

I dont think While my Guitar Gently Weeps is underrated at all

@ theprof00

You may not believe me (since I say I love them) but I absolutely hated the Beatles at first and also thought the were enterily overrated too, but then I started listening to their albums (to give them a chance), and to their least famous songs and that´s when I started loving them.

they are so varied they cant be tagged under just one category, just give a listen to Yer Blues (I cant believe I forgot that one) Rocky Racoon, Black Bird, within you without you and even helter skelter and you´ll notice the difference. They dont just sound the same (though they keep the beatles spirit) .

Of course I could mention many others but probably you wont listen to them (hope you`ll give them a try though).

Oh, please, I love the Beatles, but I beg you, don't recommend Julia to anyone if you wanna turn them on to the Fab Four ...ugh, I hate that song so much I completely wiped it from my White Album along with Revolution 9, so for me it has only 28 songs.

There are slow paced songs that aren't sleep-inducing, like She's Leaving Home, Blackbird, Dear Prudence or Mother Nature's Son
