So this 4k and the 2.6k from BK = 6.6k .. shit it's mounting up, this is why they upped expetations 2 million

I wonder who they gave the other 1,993,400 units too!!!

IT's approximately 4K units I think (from the release).  AND it took exactly 2 responses to try to change a positive 360 post into a negative. HAHA.


It's great that these kids are getting a free console.  It really is.  But this is not generosity from Microsoft.  It's PR, and everyone knows it.  Let's not fool ourselves by bending over forwards for a company (and any company for that matter) that always looks at their bottom dollar before caring for the unfortunate.

Meh, if you want you can make most anything selfish.  Is it really that bad that they get something from doing something nice?  I'm sure those kids that got the gift don't care.

Microsoft gets awesome PR and the kids get an awesome gift, it's a win all around and there's nothing at all wrong with that.

Nothing wrong with that ^^^ but let's not deny the reasonable intentions of a multi-billion dollar company as Beuli2 pointed out.

This isn't as cheap a tactic as you want to believe.

they should give away more and count them as sales.

What about giving it away to all the priests and pastors?  You can count them as sales too
