that's two reviews in a row from them that complain about unlocking characters in a fighting game.  I thought that was the standard.  Personally I think it deserves mentioning but shouldn't affect the score to the degree it seems to have

And it is, it has had unlockable characters since at least Budokai 2 if I recall correctly. No damn idea why they're even ranting about it. Unlockable content? Why would you want to expand a game's longevity? Pff

Yeah I noticed that too. But didn't many reviewers complain about Tekken 6 for making it too easy to unlock most characters? This makes no sense at all, as it is a matter of taste. I'm not saying that this is a good game, because I haven't played it yet. I stopped caring about reviews from IGN after their extremely low score on Tumble (3.5 on IGN and 8 on gamespot), which IMO is an excellent game.

I agree with this review completely

This game looks lol worthy and lame just like the anime,

I use to be a fan but now chuckle everytime I see the show......boy is it bad

I don't really see anything wrong with this review. Anthony reviewed Naruto Shippuuden Ninja Storm 2 and gave it a score somewhere in the 8s I think. Dragon Ball games just haven't evolved much since even the Budokai games, so I don't blame him for being bored with them. Plus these DBZ games have a HUGE amount of characters probably 50 at least, so I can only imagine how much time it takes to get all of them. He said it would be a lot of fun for the fans however it lacks broad appeal. Is that really wrong?

i hate it when they say all charactor should be unlocked, my best memories are trying to get devil in tekken 2 and ogre in tekken 3 and after playing tekken 6 on psp with all the charactors unlocked its soooooooooo boring theres no point in doing eveyones story because you dont get anything for it i played 2 fights in it and turned it off.

none the less im a big DBZ fan and as a fan i wont be getting this game they can only make so many DBZ fighting games before they get old and for me they got old at DBZ:BT2, namco bandi this cow has been milked now give it to a new developer that can make it a great action/adventure game

dbz is a terrible anime?

What other anime do you think is terrible so I can write up a "must-see" list for myself.

Seriously, which ones?

OT: I agree that BT3 is the best one....and that this guy has no career in reviewing.

The game got a negative score for... the same fighters? ALL DBZ games have the same fighters, wtf is this guy on?

off topic : Just because an anime is terrible doesn't mean i dont watch it. I have been hooked to bleach for many many years and i still think it is a pretty bad anime. There are so many things i could complain about that other animes simply to better. For example, villains in DBZ simply suck (much like bleach). The anime has many flaws that i feel the writers didn't really care about. Anime's such like fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood & hajime no ippo simply shit on these animes. Naruto is okay, but it has flaws also. The point is that we can agree to disagree =]. But agree that this reviewer sucks monkey balls.

OT: to those saying that the game is boring for some, i understand. But to give a game such a low score just because he is tired of the games coming out and playing the same thing is ridiculous. If it were Pokemon, IGN would never allow this reviewer to post that up. I am just saying, go ahead give it an okay score, but a 5.5 just because of long play time and character unlocking is ridiculous.
