Well, since it's Halloween, and there's a favorite Horror movie thread in the Off-Topic section, I thought I'd make one for video games.

So, what are your favorite (Horror) themed video games?

My personal fav is Resident Evil 4. I know, I know, it wasn't very scary (at all), but that's what I loved about it. It was Horror themed, it had amazing gameplay, and I didn't get nightmares from playing it. I also loved the Diablo games (the music of the first one was especially haunting), and the Castlevania games.

What about you?

I would also say Resident Evil 4, there is just no point in that game that isn't absolutely fun.

Hey maybe you guys could also post the most scary moment for you in the games you mention.

From Resident Evil 4, the most scary moment for me was when a burning man popped out of an oven (actually that was probably the only scary moment in the entire game).

Resident Evil 4, although 'twas really not that scary. (Except for those Regenerators and Iron Maidens. Those things were creeeeepy!)

LOL, I forgot about those. Just the noise they made freaked me out. And trying to kill them was an intense experience.

Doom 3  & Doom3 resurrection of evil, Clive Barkers Undying, the music and background sounds made that.

F.E.A.R the original game.

Dead space and Clive Barkers Jericho.

Horror by itself I don't care for, but RE4 is amazing! I personally love the RE action focus...

Resident Evil 4, it was scary shooting off a zombie's head and having a las plagas errupt from the shoulders. and that amazing boss which would dodge your bullets, and you would have to cryogenically freeze it with the cannisters.

that game was absolutly amazing, however notable mention goes to Dead Space, which actully has better controls and is also very enjoyable. if only Capcom didnt ruin RE5....

oh and i think Bioshock was actully quite scary as well, but i didnt enjoy it as much as the other 2.
