1. Psycho

2. The Silence of the Lambs

3 . Rosemary's Baby

nice top 2! I am not familiar with the third..

is the first Alien movie considered horror? add it to my list.

A modern choice would be "Shutter Island" and I love "SAW", the first one.

I've watched scream long ago, very long ago that I can't remember if it was good enough or not lol.

EDIT: actually it is good, the second one sucked ass though.

Yes it is. I watched that when I was about 6 or 7. Had nightmared 'cause of it.

David Lynch's Eraserhead. That film is just fucked up.

Halloween (1978), Unless you consider The Thing horror, either way it's a John Carpenter classic.

BTW, can someone please tell me why people like watching scary movies? I myself am not a huge fan of such movies (I scare very easily), and these days I rarely watch them (I hate how gory and gross most modern horror flicks are).

i'm not sure why,i'm sure some science bod will tell us,but they are enjoyable

i like the chiller type films best whatever era they are,

although i enjoy slashers that are well made i'm not that interested in just kill after messy kill unless theres plenty of tits and arse in it

I can't chew Horror movies about curses and demons (like the ring), I just can't lol.

My personal least favorite are the gross out ones. They're more nauseating than scary (and I hate being nauseated much more than I hate being scared). Why are you afraid of curses and deamons? Do people where you live beleive in such things?

The horror genre is my favorite!

I'll probably be watching The Strangers (*wink* at CGI!) and Let The RIght One In tonight. I'm excited!

I like the sci-fi horror like Aliens or Predator

Does Zombieland count?

For me its a tie between the (John Carpenters)The Thing and Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Im suprised how many people say Halloween. I watched it for the first time a few days ago and it was pretty lame. Mike Myers driving and crazy old coot Loomis are hillarious though. Though it clearly had an impact on the slasher boom on the 80's it has been outdone 50x over by many better movies. If I had seen it when it came out originally in theaters I would be happy, but as someone who has 20 years of horror movie watching behind him, its just a flat experience.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
