The journey that portrays him as a smug douchebag with a complete disregard for the lives of everyone else and no interest in anything besides making enough money to buy more hair gel. That guy is completely dehumanised.

Once again, I'm talking about the characters, one element of the story, not the story as a whole.

And Lightning is and the rest of the people in XIII are likeable?  I admit I didn't finish XIII, but none of those characters were too fantastic.

And then if you look at XII, every character in that game was worthless, had no reason to be there, or a giant cunt (Ashe).

My opinions on FFXII notwithstanding, that language isn't really appropriate in any context.

Extreme characters call ofr extreme circumstances.

Be as pithy as you want, it's neither an explanation nor justification for that kind of sexism-charged language.

Would you like it better if I called her a bitch?  Psycho hose beast maybe?

I don't really see how either of those is better than cunt yet people don't get pissy when someone calls someone else a bitch...

Again, quoting me out of context. I said that FF13's characters were 'predictable stereotypes', and that simply replacing them with 'predictable douchebags' wasn't the major improvement that was you suggested. This wasn't even the central context of my original post, notice how it only took up two lines.
