Irrelevant my friend, it shouldn't even be brought up especially in that tone. This thread is about weekly worldwide sales, and that comment is not.

It's like if you made a thread about losing 20 pounds, and I said something like, "wow I can't believe you are celebrating this, you are still fat and not near your younger figure" - The statement is true but it would be rude and unnecessary to bring up, as was kowenicki's comment.

Ok I see. You should be saying that how great he looks even though he is still a fat blob. :P

Ugh, coming back to this thread after a day off...damn it makes my head hurt...I think I need to whine a bit:

First, I see lots and lots of people jumping on Kowenicki. Myself, I don't agree with everything he says but bullying him in this way is just...not very tasteful. So, a couple of negative respect points there. Discussing in a civil manner = good. If all you have to say is "Lolz, meltdown!" then it's probably better to not say anything at all.

Second, I really like weekly sales threads when there has been a significant change somewhere that makes you go "wow". I like big numbers.

But. I also hates them because so many people go into complete fanboy mode. Some who sees their beloved piece of plastic doing great just can't celebrate without laughing at the others; even attacking the fans of the others seems to be a totally respectable action.

Likewise some of the "losers" just can't behave when someone else is doing better. But, but, I don't like that console so I need to show my dislike for it by creating a most spectacular piece of smacked logic and some superb spinning that would make Tails fall on his knees and cry of jealousy.

Third, I see some of people who laughed when the PS3 squad screamed "vgchartz are wrong on the PS3 numbers!" in choir, but, what do I see here? Oh, you are using the same (proven to be not very effective) method of claiming the site is unreliable and bad when it doesn't display the wanted numbers or especially when the evil console gets the epic adjustment. Oh, cry me a river. I do wonder if I'll see you embrace the sales numbers without a single thought when (if) the numbers are favouing you again. Will be interesting for sure.

1st or 2nd or 3rd place is not a big deal. The only thing that really matters, is that you are happy with your console system(s).

PS3 can still finish 1st or 2nd place. 360 is destined for 3rd place in 2011. 

PS3 may even catch up and over take the Wii in 5 years time. PS3 can last much longer than 10 years and it has the technological advantage over its competitors. When the PS3 prices falls, PS3 sales will increase. 

Yeah i agree with you, the consoles just started to hit its stride. a lot of people seem to think that new consoles are coming soon. heres the thing if microsoft releases a new console they cut the lifespan of the 360, i dont think they will do that - they've said themselves that they want another 5 years of the 360.

the possiblity that the wii successor is released soon is also unlikely imo. because the wii dosent compete directly with the HD consoles, and its cheaper price gives it an edge that a new model could not, espeically since this new model would have to compete with the price of the other consoles. - do nintendo really want to be in that situation?? remember gamecube.

and lastly developing games is very expensive, developers have said they want this generation to last as long as possible. this means that the PS3 will have an incredible advantage if new consoles are released, because developers have to learn how to program for new consoles, and that takes time, money, manpower, etc. also lets not forget that since Uncharted 2, several developers are now switching to lead development on the PS3.
