I don't think anybody thought Project Dark would actually be Demon's Souls 2, but rather that Project dark would be a Demon's Souls sequel in all but name, as Sony owns the IP.

Now it's looking like this may not be the case, as they seem interested in doing an actual Demon's Souls 2.  I do hope they return to the IP at some point.  I would like to learn more of Boletaria and the Maiden in Black.

i'm sure From Software will return to it at some point, but at the moment i think it is important that they build on the success of DS and try to make themselves more popular with a larger fanbase imo.

but then theres another side of me that thinks, DS was such a great game it should stand out as a one time only experience, because theres so many sequels, etc these days.

It was pretty cool when SONY admitted regretting not publishing the game outside of Japan. Good on Atlus, though.

damn,thought project dark was demon's souls 2..oh well, atleast I get to play,umm..a spin off title?...hm screw it ill get Demon's souls when I get a PS3, hope Project Dark is somewhat just as good as DS
