Dragon Ball chased its on tail way too much. It made its villains more powerful, then its heroes, then its villains and so on.

They went from being amazed at a power level of 9000 to having Goku have a power level of 150,000,000 when battling Frieza as a Super Saiyan - this was only part of the way in. By the end it just got absurd.

So yeah - reboot and try to make it less silly.

well dragonball online (which Toriyama is involved with) apparently already is retconning some GT stuff so...

Sounds like an attempt to just squeeze as much money out of the name as possible. sad.

Umh the power ups are one of the best part of Z, I just loved the last 4 manga for all the activity in them.

Best character in the series:

I'd like to see them focus more on the rest fo the cast and let them actually accomplish things... vs just them waiting around/trying to live until Goku/Gohan survive.

The strength of anime with lots of fighting is having a large cast so they can take turns using their special moves and developing powers so it doesn't become dull.

Early Dragon Ball stuff was cool, though Goku was the strongest everyone had something to contribute.   Towards the end of Dragonball Z, it was basically Goku or bust.

Yu Yu Hakusho shows the right way to set up battles in a series like this.
