Not sure the Asian phase really didn't hit me until I started working with a lot of Vietnamese at my previous job where I met my roommate (current job has a lot of Vietnamese also).  Before that I was mainly just interested in Caucasian women.  I think it has to due with them being smaller so makes me feel more masculine (I am 6'2 so makes me feel even taller compared to most other races of women) plus the hot ones are very attractive to me.  A hot Asian face and body turns me on a lot.   My roommate treats me very nice.  Her being a bad ass cook also helps.

I read a study once that said people were generally more attracted to young traits in a person (think young kid/baby like). So this is why blond hair are generally more attractive, (a lot of caucasian kids (0-5 year olds) have blond hair then which darkens later on; I had golden blond hair till I was 5 and i'm a brown haired now). features that would apply to asians are: almond eyes, rounder face, small height, smaller frame, no body hair. Add to this that the models you see generally try to look younger and have very white skin this adds a sense of weakness and person that needs to be protected.

So in all it's more instinctive to be attracted to them, but likely more a paternal instinct. Please not i'm not saying pedofiliac instinct, this is relative to baby traits, not child/teen. The only reason this instinct is turned into a more sexual one, is in fact cause these are adult figures.

well this could be a general reason anyways.

 

I know for one I dig asian chicks, but they lack character compared to caucasian ones.... probably cause half the models seem to be acting a role?

Your whole post kinda freaked me out a little. Don't know if that disclaimer helps. And it's nor surprise Asian chicks lack character compared to caucasians. They're more conservative housewife types, and housewives are boring (only macho neanderthal chauvinistic guys like them).

I find the prevailing trend of dressing up women (especially Asian women) in outfits typically worn by girls under the age of 16 incredibly disturbing.

What they're implying is really fucking disgusting and says a lot about our societies in general. It's one of the reasons I have big issues with anime.
