I'll almost for sure get a 3DS.

I'll also get a PSP2 if it's a phone as well. It's not to say I won't get the PSP2 otherwise but then only games will affect that decision.

The big new features are dual analogs and an HD screen?  Sounds like a home console to me.  And not a fancy new one for 2011.

I love my PSP for emulators but retail games are not very good when youre on the bus, on a plane or on the go IMO. It needs to be quick arcade style action...not a game that has 10 minute loading menu and cut scenes before you start any gameplay.

Contra is a good portable game while Silent Hill for example, not so much

PSP has a lot more of those immersive cinematic story driven style games than the arcade style games that you can play for 15 minutes and have a blast. Sony doesn't seem to get that fully yet...and keeps pumping downgraded home console types of games...hence my "poor mans home console" comment.

3DS!

When Nintendo unveiled the 3DS, they also unveiled a cool lineup of games.

I don't careas much about the hardware capabilities of the PSP2, as much as I care what games it will have. I ain't buying a handheld (or a home console for that matter), based on the hardware specs. I'm buying based on software lineup, and so far I see no reason to buy a PSP2 (though I'd be seriously tempted to buy it if it were a phone).

i'll buy both, but probably not next year. i'm certain they'll both have kick a$$ game libraries

I'm getting both.  Probably 3DS first, but only because it comes out earlier.  If tehy came out at the same time, PSP2 first.

I need a bit more than a story on Kotaku centered around rumours before both acknowledging the existence of something and actually deciding if I'd potentially perhaps maybe possibly becoming to be slightly interested in buying said rumoured product.

PSP2 is still vaporware until Sony releases something.  Kinda' sad ppl have to show fake mock-ups to represent PSP2 (if it even exist) as there is nothing Sony has given the public yet.  So I'm going for the 3DS as it is concrete and finalized.  Oh for those of you mocking the 3D feature in a handheld;  I will see you eat those words off your foot once Sony (once again) copies Nintendo and releases 3D on it's handheld. 

I choose PSP2. I don't know how it looks, feels like or what games are coming but that doesn't mean anything!

I'm not going to vote since there are those dumb ass lines after the first in each poll. I already know the 3DS line up and I'm not missing that system no matter what, PSP2 will have to wait just like I waited to get a PSP for the reason that the PSP had a lot of nothing for a long time.

PS: with the 3rd party support on 3DS that I'm already seeing, people would be dumb to not get it if they want a hand held, blinded by company of preference is the stupidest way to game.
