Now that we have solid confirmation of the PSP2 and some of the things that it has the question must be brought up:  which of the two systems are the members of Vgchartz more interested in?  First lets break down what we know.

Nintendo 3DS

• Has a revolutionary screen that is able to render 3D images without the need to wear specialized glasses.  Also this 3D feature is able to be faded in and out depending on the users preference.
• Graphically looks roughly equivalent to the Gamecube and is a huge step up from the graphics on the DS
• Single analog stick
• Has two separate screens, one of which is a touch screen.

Sony PSP2

• Has dual analog sticks.
• Has a very large "HD" screen.  Graphically no concrete confirmation but is rumored to be much better than a PS2's graphics capabilities.
• Has a touch pad on the back of the system, uses for which will vary depending on how the developer decides to use it.
• Rumored by The Wall Street Journal to have Smart Phone capabilites.

So Vgchartz which do you prefer?  The next generation of Portable Hardware is just around the corner and things are certainly beginning to heat up.

There's no competition. The psp2 won't be released same time as 3DS.

for me psp2, mainly because i prefer 3d at its full potential on a giant screen and with sorround sound, and other then that other then the metal gear game im not that interested in the games for the 3ds.

the psp2 looks sexy and ive been wanting a psp for a long time.

Its confirmed PSP2 launches Fall 2011.  The two system will launch within 6 months of each other.

I'm a huge fan of the Mario Kart series and the Nintendo 3DS will have a new version, so for me it's a no-brainer on which one I will be buying, when I have the money of course.

First option: PSP2.

But I will buy both .

Depends on the software and battery life!

3DS

I'm personally HIGHLY interested in both and will prob eventually purchase both.  One thing that REALLY interest me is this rumor thats going around about the PSP2 having integrated smart phone capabilities.  If this is true it could be a HUGE selling point for the system. 

if it has that then its going to be expensive, im sure gamers dont want to buy a new phone and at the same time a handheld.
