Although it sounds reasonable since it's online-only. So those one million people that bought it had intentions of playing online.

I agree the more Socom becomes like these mainstream games such as Call of Duty the faster its going to die. No call of duty fan is going to choose Socom over call of duty even if they have the same features and the hardcore socom fans are going to keep leaving  the franchise if Zipper continues to ignore them. In other words Sony and Zipper are slowly killing Socom

Here is the article. Their was a more offical one somewhere else I couldn't find but yea... there was a time where that game with all it's bad review scores and competition had a ton of people online. The Socom community seen how it tried to mimic the ps2 socoms and how it still kept certain core elements that other games just don't do... like no respawn for instance.

i agree about the huge/big/EPIX!!!11 explosions are annoying and the holywood-esc cutscenes , sure it fits Uncharted but it doesn't fit this.

but are you guys sure about the health regen ? , there is no reason to play this game already =s , older SOCOM games had limited health as a FEATURE, instead of storming places , you had to think and strategize, its kinda like a Puzzle, if its really true then i think the real SOCOM game on PS3 is actually Valkyria Chronicles

for single player health regen has been confirmed according to the socom forums, multiplayer is "TBD"

Then it settled, this game is generic.

This would be a first day buy if it was true. No question about it. lol
