Let me rephrase... It doesn't look like socom... it looks like a poor mans uncharted gears of war type of game with a cover system and health regan... That stuff has no place in socom. They say its realistic then a guy takes an rpg to the torso and just shakes it off. The game may be decent but it ain't socom. It looks slow and clunky also.

The whole mechanics are just wrong for a socom game. From how the grenades where shot, to the endless wave of enemies, to the post apocalyptic big a@# bomb just went off warzone. I would feel dirty playing it. It may be good, I just wish they change the name to something else. Socom offered something completely different to what the others presented, and now it just looks like one mediocre title amongst the bunch.

It disregards the elements that made the socom franchise unique and uses crap that makes it look like just any other T/FPS. Sad because i was really excited when it was announced but I guess now I'm just gonna give Confrontation another chance.

What game in history was drastically different between the single and multiplayer? Please read my other post I go into a little more depth into why I'm upset with the direction of this game

Don't shatter my hope! There's still a chance Zipper makes a great multiplayer.

how did you know that? did they show enough info ? i've only seen trailers and that E3 (?) PS Move demo.

how did you know that? did they show enough info ? i've only seen trailers and that E3 (?) PS Move demo.

go to socom.com.  they have a weekly podcast with the lastest info.

@SOCOM 4 DISLIKERS

True, Socom 4 looks nothing like Socom, but you never know, you might like it. It could be shit, or it could be miles better than SOCOM 2. Yeah, it's different. That doesn't mean it'll be bad. Change could be good. Wait till release before judging it. 

I know I'll be getting it. It'll most likely be the best SOCOM this gen.
