Yeah, me too. Even it's not old school Socom. IT'll be the closest thing to it.

Try confrontation. Its a throwback to the oldschool socoms... great weapon selection where different guns actually mean something all but one map is good, the best map of any game ever, crossroads is present. Only thing I don't like is after the DLC dropped specilizations came about, Snipers who use the Tillys are noobs, its such a cheap gun in a balanced game, hell you can't even have RPGs in ranked rooms. Oh and dedicated servers, they screwed up on no custom ranked rooms though.

That would be cool I guess. SOCOM 4 looks terrible though I think. I'd buy SOCOM 2 HD standalone for $30-$40 though.

well why have the multiplayer of the PS2 games when you can have the same maps and modes in the PS3 game?  (without any alteration of course)

If you head for the Socom forums and listen to the questions being asked on the Zipper Podcast you'd notice blatantly obvious thing: They just want SOCOM2. They want the EXACT SAME GAME. Even when remakes are discussed people want every single bug and glitch in the game with a remake. Just throw in an HD resolution. There's simply that much love for SOCOM2 from the fans.

Bundling S2 with S4 won't be good news for S4. Placing S2's content in S4 just isn't what they want. 

Negative Socom 4 looks horrible, I would rather just play the old game, hell I rather play confrontation. I won't be buying socom 4... unless they release it with socom 2. If not count me out

They should delay socom 4 until christmas next year. drop socom 2 HD this spring. So those who are just curious can jump on and see what the fuss is about them buy socom 4 later in the year... The tried and true socom fans won't be touching socom 4 at all however.

why does it look terrible? , i haven't been following the game only saw a bunch of trailers , so i might have missed on something
