Forums - Microsoft - Super Meat Boy $10 until November

http://xboxlive.ign.com/articles/112/1128786p1.html

Super Meat Boy's been discounted from $15 to $10 until some point in November. I probably would've passed this up, but the value (300 levels or so, give or take) seems too good to pass up now. Take a look at this quick look, which is hysterical to say the least.

Thoughts?

Alright, I'll keep in mind that nobody on this site other than me has the slightest interest in this game...

Well I'm definitely getting it when it comes out... especially now that it's $5 cheaper :D . I thought it was scheduled to release on Wednesday; which is today here in Australia. Though I'm guessing it's Wednesday for American/Thursday for Aus.

I really hope that we don't have to wait a week or so for this to get released here. It's downloadable, so really it should release worldwide at the same time.

The question is is it worth $10.  Is this a game I would enjoy?

Depends on how easily frustrated you are and how much you like games that have constant throwbacks to old NES games in them. There are collectable bandages and warp zones to unlock throughout the game, which unlock a good number of playable characters that all jump/move differently from one another and certain bandages can only be obtained via certain characters. This combined with the 300 levels makes this game pretty hard to beat in terms of value.

I get frustrated quite easily so this game doesn't look like its for me lol.....and i've never played a NES game or anything before the Nintendo 64....

Let's see... Super Meat Boy = SMB = Super Mario Bros.

Wow, what a coincidence!

Looks cool.  However, I am sure I will find the platforming very frustrrating, and I find the meat and blood on the gross side personally.

Did quite enjoy the trial but i've only got 800msp just now and i'm saving that for the halo reach noble map pack at the end of november. If i do decide to pick up some more points i'll probably get it.

I believe there is a deal where you spend 2400 MSP in October, you get 800 MSP.   Do more research on this.  It may be worht getting the map pack now.
