By the way, Bayonetta is a 3 hours game (you need to finish the game in less than 3 hours to get an item :P). So I guess Vanquish is longer :P

Bayonetta may be finished in 3 hours, but no one does that on the first playthrough. That's not the case here, Vanquish isn't longer.

Yes, you're right... you'd need the panther form and rush through the game to do that xD.
I think (I'm not sure) the first time I finished Bayonetta it took me around 6 hours (played it on normal) but that's just the time you see when you are on the "Play History" screen... I know it actually took me longer than that with all the cutscenes...

I'd say about 10 hours with cutscenes? IDK :P

Vanquish should be around that time (maybe 2 hours less or 2 hours more, IDK)

Anyways, I've already been playing Bayonetta for 44 - 45 hours and I still have to get all Pure Platinum awards on Climax :P

Oh, now that I think of it, I believe I still have my first playthrough's save file... and if my "visual memory" is right, it took me 9 hours and "??" minutes xD

I'll check tomorrow when I turn my PS3 on (If I remember xD) and I'll come back here to tell you all how long it took me. I'll also check if the save file time differs from the time shown in the play history screen. I suposse something like that is what happens with Vanquish.

I've just checked the Platinum Games forums and one of the users there reviewed the game, he said it took him 7 hours and a half to complete it:

I pre-ordered it Sunday and I'm wondering if it's worth it or not.  I typically don't have problems with 4 to 6 hour games but when it's being said that there's no replay value, I feel as though there's something I could avoid.

I'm going to be upset if Platinum releases 2 out of 4 of their games with no replay value.  -Stares at his copy of Madworld-

IMO Vanquish is TERRIBLE... the AI...some of the enemies... you can look at and they will never shoot you once at mid range... bullets always going around you unless you get closer.

Also a single player shooter with no MP should have substance, good story and a long compaigne... so far Vanguish hasn't shown that to me... like Bioshock did. The dialogue is chessy and well very (cringes) japanese... (cringes again)

Playing the game is fun for the first 5 minutes and then it's like the game lacks "soul". Thats the no substance feel to it that I pick up which comes from the dailogue and the AI problems... like some enemies will shoot towards you and all the bullets will go around you every time unless you get closer.

If Vanguish bombs... I will smile and it will give me hope in gamers everywhere. And even if for some strange reason you like it... hey it's 4-6 hours long.... you won't like it for wrng knowing you paid 60 FREAKIN dollars for 4-6 hours of entertainment.

All gaming systems, consoles/PC, have thier perks... why fight over preferences? I like Coke and you like Pepsi, that's it, let's not fight over which toy we like best cause that's what they are. Is someone's preference in a toy important or is the relationship between you and your neighbor more important? Answer is obvious, but THE most important thing is your relationship with God almighty. God Bless you in Jesus's name.

I can communicate without talking... I can send a loved one money without actually sending money... and I can commit theft without the product disappearing, the point of theft is the point of theft not one of it's possible symptoms which is the product dissappearing. The thief wants to gain something without paying for it, that's the point of theft, the thief doesn't have to care or anybody else has to care if the product dissappears. The product dissappearing is just a possible symptom of theft. Gifts are sacrfices, in order to give a gift, it has to be a genuine sacrfice/gift, meaning a copy of the game isn't still in your PC. Piracy is theft and/or being a culprit of theft.
