I played the first Bloody Roar on the PS1 but I wasn't too impressed.  It was pretty but pretty mindless.  It got quite a bit of respect when the franchise went to the Gamecube, though.  But I still didn't feel compelled to play it.

Honestly though, I don't see the difference. The only difference I can see are the characters.

People tend not to see the difference between games they don't like much. If anyone wanted to, they could fool me with a mixed trailer of gears of war and quantum theory and tell me that is is the same game. I'd swallow it.

I don't know, man.  I loved playing the original on the PS1, though.  Recently downloaded it from PSN, also.  I hope they do reboot the franchise soon.  Seeing those games with today's graphics, plus a little added gore, would be awesome. 

Perhaps but still...it's not like the genre has innovated a lot since it's early days.

i still have that game on gamecube,great game, small roster but still one of the few fighters of that kind that i like, the other one being soul calibur II.

MK has some of the most iconic characters in gaming!!
