As I said in the Sega fans thread--Nintendo..IMO would be better off as a software only publisher. Let Sony and Microsoft duck it out in the hardware race and let Nintendo publish their games on those systems. Only games worthwhile on a Nintendo platform are typically from them so makes most sense IMO.

Nintendo is only the most innovative hardware company out there. I'm not a fan of motion controls, but the big N has been the creators that have pushed this industry forward as a whole. They are the first to bring the following things mainstream to consoles:
D-pad
shoulder buttons
3D platformers
analog sticks
wireless controllers (that actually work)
motion controls
They have also been the forerunners in the portable industry. So, I guess I disagree with the hate for NIntendo. They need to continue to create hardware and innovate. I probably shouldn't even be in this thread anyways, as I see no reason for any company to leave, and I'm not mainly a Microsoft fan, but I, like the thread creator, like reading other people's thoughts. I just disagree that Nintendo should leave. I think their first party software would even suffer as a result as they generally release software to coincide with their hardware.

Let there innovation come in the form of software only thats what I want. I haven`t really been that happy with Nintendo since the N64 days. They are most well known for good games therefore I think goign the same route Sega did would work well for Nintendo and there would be nothing wrong with that. They would do well as a Publisher only. He asked for people`s opinions and I gave mine. Your not really even a Microsoft fan anyways! lol
Sega/Microsoft fan for life! Like Sony/Nintendo but not a fan.
How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...
Xbox 360 wants to Kinect & PS3 wants to Move! Why are both systems having such relationship problems? The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.
