I probably won't buy Socom 4 and I'm a big fan of the series. It looks like shit compared to Socom 1, 2 and 3.

I for one won't be buying it..... I love the series... and unlike most I thought confrontation was a good game... socom 4 looks like complete trash.... health regan???? cover??? if I wanted to do that I would play another game, that stuff has no place in Socom

Zipper Interactive is a great company, MAG did alright nearing 1 million units but it was a online only title so thats pretty good for online only. 

I dont think Zipper are a bunch of idiots, they know Socom Con was a absoulte failure and they have to make a game from such as disaster. 

But with Single player they have to pleas the boarder audience not just socom fans, because fans of socom aren't fans of the sp but of the MP well there are Sp fans but the greater number are online fans. 

So lets hope that online is as good as the past online titles. But sp has to appeal to all people cover system, health regen are all the norm now.

So i have faith until S4 mp info is released.

If they would have stayed true to the system without health regan and cover, just like previous games, will specifically 1 and 2 they would sell a whole lot of copies. Socom has some of the most loyal fans that play that game forever because it's not like everything else, If I wanted that stuff I would play uncharted or something. I have no more faith in zipper then I do in slant 6, after all they made socom 3 and CA which in my opinion, are worst then confrontation.

And when you say MAG did alright how so? I remember logging on about 3 weeks after release and there being more people on Socom confrontation.

MAG is my favorite MP right now.

I never played a socom game in my life so I want to pick this one up when it comes out.

It may be for you, but it by no means reflects the series, A completly different genre if you ask me. It looks more like a GOW type then a tactical 3rd person shooter, I can't recommend you try confrontation this late in the game, people are unforgiving if your a noob and has a steep learning curve if you are unfamiliar with the series, no respawn or health regan, all gun game and tactics.... Still one of my favorites if not my favorite.

It's not nearly as unforgiving as Warhawk, though.
