Used to work for gamestation in the UK, whilst there probally stole around 5000 games to sell on ebay, Got myself around 2600 feedback from it and half the people didnt leave feedback.

Well they eventually caught me and all they did was fire me. Which is company policy, so definatly worth doing as the risk is so small.

Evil and pesky viewtiful_jon!

....funny comments until someone mentions that this stealing is paid by everyone buying games at Gamestation, as such "leakage" has to be funded by someone.

Ooops...

Well just so you know when I worked in Gamestation this was very common, out of the 4 other stores I knew people in all stores did it, One store in particular was really bad and got caught cos no only did they take the stuff but they used the work PC to run there ebay accounts and had a lot of stuff ready for posting when the auditor came in for a random visit..

Anyway now the company is owned by GAME and the computer system is different I dont know if its as easy to get away with doing what I used to.

Oh well, then it is alright. If everyone was doing it, the customer had to pay for it anyways, so tough shit.

Yes, I've pirated games.

Making a copy is not theft. Piracy could be considered making a back up copy. If backing up your data and music and games is piracy. Most people are guilty as charged.

Piracy laws and copyright laws restrict competition and free markets. I oppose piracy laws and copyright laws. So what if someone sells some bootleg copies in Asia or where ever: they have families to feed. Why should small innocent people starve at the expense of these nasty bully boy big corporations?

In my opinion/view: Stealing is the physical removal of an item that does not belong to you. Making a copy  is not theft. It is only a copy.

I only pirate games that are out of production. I've got a SNES, Gameboy Colour, Gameboy Advance, N64 and  Genesis emulator all running on my laptop. I usually only buy current generation games brand new.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

Yes sadly I have stolen games because past me was naive enough to actually believe that just because he didn't have the money to buy said game it was all right to pirate it :S

I never had enough money to purchase any type of games growing up, so yes I lead a bandits life for quite some time.  Im not particularly proud of it, but it was so easy to get away with because my parents never gave a shit what I did (horrible parenting) and it allowed me to enjoy one of the things I love most.  I grew up mostly in apartment complexes, and being that young I always played outside so it was easy to make friends.  Eventually those friends invite you over and you know the rest... that was over 10 years ago and havent stolen a thing since.  It was so bad at one point that a friend of mine left his sliding glass door open, he lived on the bottom floor and I just ran in his house, stole his gameboy with games and a ton of pokemon cards without them ever finding out it was me.  But when youre rasied around a bunch of hoodlums, its difficult not to turn into one at such an impressionable age.

Last night I "stole" Castlevania Rondo of Blood for Turbographix 16 Cd...going on vacation and wanted to up it on my GP2X.

And now im reminiscing about the old times, thinkin about how I never had enough money to do anything but now I can leave my house, go to gamestop or some site online and purchase any game I want.  Crazy how far we come in such a short span of time.
