man too many people have high expectations

since the PS-PS2 any console that doesn't sell 100 million is a fail, game doesn't sell like MW2 failure, thing doesn't sell million failure.

Nothing is a failure if it doesn't make profit

you have absoluting no clue how much sony has made off the controller.

Lets say the Move costed around 250 million in RND, devolopment some advertising.

and they make lets say 30 dollars off each controller and 20 off each camera

so they have sold around 750,000 controllers (could be more or less), that is around 22 500 000 they would of sold around 500,000 cameras so thats 10,000,000. so thats around 32.5 million in around 3 weeks.

so in order to to make a profit they would have to sell 5 million units. Now remember these are rough estimates and i have no clue. So according to my estimates if it doesn't sell 5 million when its  finished which is like 5 years but could be much more if carried over by the PS4 then it would reach 5 million easy and not be a failure.

So those are rough possibility very wrong estimates but you cant call it a fail 3 weeks In, and its not until it starts making a profit you can call it a success.

Who knows the kinect could sell 20 million but if the development  was very high they might not make a profit and hence be a failure

good point people forget that if a product becomes profitable then that is what determines whether a product is sucessful or not, it has nothing to do with amount of sales, as long as it's making a profit, no company in the right mind would aboandon a product which is actually bringing in money

it's the future of handheld

Profit is important, but what you've said is not exactly true. A product does not just have to be profitable to be successful, it also has to have a worthwhile ROI especially when taking opportunity costs into account. In the case of a platform holder this has to be put in the frame of console momentum (which is the reason Sony is happy to lose money on some games if it feels it helps it's momentum).

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.
