Forums - Sony - Help ! USA PSP on 240v Power Grid ?

Hey guys ! Its my birthday today...lol... and I might be able to convince my cousin living in the USA to buy me the God of War Ghost of Sparta PSP.

Do I need to buy a transformer to charge this American PSP on a 240v 50Hz power grid ? (I believe in the USA its 110v 60Hz ?)

I read somewhere that the PSP charger can handle multi voltages and all I have to do is buy a power cable that fits the plugs in my country ? Is this true ?

Yes, it is. To the best of my knowledge the whole PS family can handle multi voltages.

they're multi voltages, so is the PS3

Thanks.

What kind of power cables fit the PSP charger ?

Can you use a PAL PSP charger to charge a USA PSP ?

Anybody ? Please help !

I bought a GoW CoO PSP back in the day from the States. You just need to change the first half of the cable - if you have/had a PS1/PS2, it's the same plug-in as that, like two circles in a figure-8 shape.

if you cousin lives in the usa just ask him to get a converter as well.  cost about 2-10 bucks then you don't have to worry about it.

just buy a PSP USB charger if you are worried about the power, they are very cheap
