EAGames , UbiSoft and many other publishers are trying increasingly to region lock their software. Nintendo for example actually tries to ban importing the games. Its all economics they want to sell you the software locally for many reasons. One of the biggest is if they don't make money bringing the game to your country then they need to boost prices for everyone else. Its not cheap to sell your products in every individual country this costs money and each branch needs to be able to generate profit.
Example if everyone imports their games, why should the publisher localize anything? If publishers stop localizing products which products are left to be sold in your countries retail outlets. In the end a major reason software is so much more expensive is because their isn't as big of a population in your country, so the publisher needs to sell the software higher to make back a profit.
Many other reasons too, I'd suggest you buy your products locally. If your too poor then maybe import them but understand that the publisher shouldn't provide you services you don't pay for. Why provide you with online localized to your region if you didn't pay for localization (Some of that extra cost goes to providing services to your region).
