If you're serious then I would just like to say:

Idiots like you are the MAIN reason so many people are turning towards atheism. Intelligent people see you and think: ''OMG, I never, ever want to be associated to anything that guy is associated to.''

I hope this is a joke, otherwise: YOU ARE HOPELESS.

Actually, I believe Atheism is on the decline.  I don't understand the need of some people to attack Christians for their beliefs.  I mean if it comes to other lifestyles not associated with religion, you would usually say, "To each his own."  But the second someone makes a thread on some site about their beliefs, you have to come in droves to attack them.  Forget an intelligent discussion.  Forget "To each his own."  Pretty hypocritical if you ask me.

And to those who said something about him shoving his beliefs down your throat, who made you come in this thread, read what he posted, and then post a response?  YOU did.

Why would you say that atheism is on the decline? There is little evidence for this. Atheists in America outnumber religious Jews for god's sake.

Are you honestly going to defend the propogana this thread is positing?

Also, the "to each his own" proposal is a wishy-washy one. How will we ever be able to progress as human beings without saying what we think? You would dare to ask me to censor my beliefs to "respect" yours? Pretty arrogant if you ask me.

In discussions of religion, just as in any other discussion, you make your points, state your reasoning and don't go out of your way to use derogatory language. This thread, however, is based on a statement that has no logical foundation and deserves little to no respect.

I say Atheism is declining because while there are more Atheists than before, the percentage of those who are Atheist is smaller.   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_atheism#Geographic_distribution

And "to each his own" is definitely not wishy-washy.  No one should have beliefs shoved down their throats, nor should they be open to insults for stating their beliefs.  Do I fully believe what this guy posted?  No.  But I'm not going to sit here in throw insults at the guy because I don't.  Just like I don't believe in Atheism, but I'm not going to go out of my way to go in every Atheist thread and call them idiots for not believing in God because I somehow feel I'm superior to them intellectually.  That is what is truly arrogant.

Um, yeah, that would also be arrogant, but where are you seeing people "shoving their beliefs down their throats?" It seems like you're mistaking an emphatic word choice for one of malice. Your wikipedia reference is also more than five years old.

his guy is being insulted because he's saying something that has no real basis for being said (which is stupid). Not because he believes in God. Don't make this more than what it is.

Actually, I said it was arrogant to call someone an idiot for not believing what they believe because they feel intellectually superior, as the person I originally responded to had just done.

And I'm sure you believe something others would say has no basis.  Does that mean they are in the right if they should go around insulting you?

If you make your beleifs known, for the purpose of convincing others that your beleifs are right (like Oosnap did), then you are autmotically inviting others to criticise and insult your beleifs of if they are unfounded. And no one in here was throwing empty insults. People were offering valid criticism of his ridiculous beliefs. Also, I doubt you could offer any actual evidence to validate your belief in your deity, that could somehow make an atheist feel intellectually inferior to you.

check out my two posts within this very thread.  these guys in the youtube video were not alone in predicting a september stock market crash.

I read the article  "Economic Collapse in September?" (linked to in the previous post) in may 2008 when it was written, I remember reposting it several places before what came to pass happened.

Also of note, the guy that predicted  "negative news that will move the market downward should occur Sept 15"

was permanently banned from google finance before September 15th...meaning if he edited his post, it was before the crash happened but after he posted in July.

If anyone knew in advance, for certain, that the economic collapse was going to happen on X day and fold out in a certain way, they could have made billions out of it. There are ways with financial instruments to make money out of decreasing prices (see short selling).

The fact that the predictor didn't do this shows that they were either guessing or not confident enough to put money behind their prediction.

If do some research into insider trading you'll learn that on September 15, people did make money cause they had advance foreknowledge of the crash..not only that, they caused the crash by that very foreknowledge.

OK, but they didn't make massive amounts of money. Nowhere near the potential limit. That's because they didn't know how it would play out exactly. And what they did was (sometimes) illegal and not like psychic or anything which was my point.

If they caused the crash, it's only because the market was set up to crash and needed a trigger.

Dude, there is no logic involved in this thread whatsoever. The guy posted this thread saying that an economic prediction is somehow correlated with (and even proves the existence of) god. This would be an example of something without any real basis. Saying something like this is stupid, but I don't condemn people for being stupid. I'm stupid regarding plenty of things and that's that.

Just because others would say that things I think have no basis doesn't mean they really have good reason to say that. Everything I know is based off of the things I have observed through my senses throughout my life. I was part of religion for quite a while until I became entirely certain that it was a waste of my time.

I would only bother to insult someone if they went to such an extreme as to say that I am close-minded.

With regards to the bolded/italicized: it is actually very reasonable to call the conclusions made in the original post "stupid." The guy made a ridiculous leap from shoddy evidence to an entirely unrelated hypothesis (that of God). Therefore anyone who sees the wrongness of the statement is inherently more intelligent than the original poster.

I noticed you didn't quote over the video series.

it's very thorough.

What would be the potential limit?  May'be placing illegal put options on other stocks, but to a lesser degree so that they wouldn't be noticed, in anticipation for when they(same person(s) or different person(s)) seperately crashed both Bear and Lehman?

Here's another video source saying some of the same things

Video Title:( the 911 of the financial system )

Economic 9-11: Did Lehman Brothers Fall or Was It Pushed?

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/ellen-brown/economic-9-11-did-lehman_b_278202.html

some mainstream news t.v. shows have covered the conspiracy theory, of which there's strong evidence (as seen in the 'Hedge Funds &...' 3 parter)

It's been covered in the form of an indie movie

It's even going to be a mainstream movie soon

May'be the insider trading (the main conspiracy subject theorized to be primarily behind the global economic meltdown by those in the know) will bring second looks and renewed interest into the allegations of insider trading on September 11th 2001.
