One thing I have noticed so far is there definitely aren't near the amount of enemies that GOWIII has. They don't respawn over and over as much and not as many battles. As I said I'm not far into this game but either that is bad or good depending on how much you like to fight as opposed to checking out the scenery and exploring.

All I hear from you is God Of War over and over again...give it a rest...or Kratos will be your end.

I played the Demo and it looks great.

Um probably because that is the only hack n slash game I own, alot of people on this forum own the game, and its the best selling hack n slash. Only makes sense to compare it to it so people get an idea of what Castlevania is like.

Anyways after playing a little farther through, still only on chapter 2 of 12 after about 3 1/2 hours, the game isn't quite up to GOWIII level of graphics (I did it again), but they are great looking and up there with some of the best.

from the vids I've seen, this doesn't look as good as gow graphically...kratos looks too awesome to match....either way, I want to pick this up with a new ps3 asap !! can't wait !

Has there ever been a game sequel which missed the mark that the franchise estabished? This is nothing like any castlevania...

Its not a bad game but its not really good either. Too many fucking interuptions. Cutscene, horse riding, tutorial, cutscene, patrick stewart reading a novel...just STFU and let me play! I hate it...2 hours in and I don't want to play anymore.

Also, as far as visuals are concened, they are good...but its due to static camera. Static camera = cheating the system and rendering only the angle which are in players field of vision.

I agree towards the beginning of the game even the whole first chapter the sections are too short and the interruptions are too many but as I make it towards the end of the second chapter the sections become much longer trust me. Doesn't feel as choppy. We'll see if it plays out like that as I progress farther but its definitely becoming a better game then what it was at the start, even though I like it from the beginning.

The graphics are goods but not same level than Uncharted 2, God of War III or Killzone 2.

....and this thread turned into a gushing over ps3 exclusives thread. Damn we can't even have a discussion thread about a multiplatform game without the same "uncharted 2 blablablah" comments.

I've only played the game about an hour, but so far it has been highly immersive, and seems like considering the challenge level in the beginning it's bound to be giving me some problems near the end, which I love....(Playing on hardest available setting initially)

Just waiting for that PS Vita to come out so I can play some full featured games on the go with that beautiful screen and control scheme...

Was bound to happen eventually...what should it be compared to in order to make you happy...Dante's Inferno? Bayonetta?................Definitely better than those combined...

I hope so. I'll play for a few more days and if it doesn't grab me, ill return it to blockbuster and take out Enslaved. I have a game rental pass but can only rent 1 game at a time :)

I am done expecting a castlevania like gaming experience, cause it won't happen here...Now I just want to have fun with the game damn it.
