Forums - Gaming - I'm so tired of capcom

360 had Dead Rising AND Lost Planet before there was even a whiff of SFIV existing in arcades, much less any console port rumors.  DMC4 went multiplatform just five months after PS3 launched, and PS3 lost MH3 to Wii about nine months after launch.  Really, if you bought your PS3 after fall 2007 for Capcom games (and Capcom's first PS3 game didn't come out until 2008 btw), you really have no one to blame but yourself.  Should've gone 360 plus Wii instead.

thats nice, and your pardoned, but i'm not talking about the dead rising fan base(if u look at VGchartz sells numbers for the game this past wk is very close to that of the 360 numbers, and just because a game only apears on one console dosn't mean there isn't a fan base on the console the original or francnise nevere released on)on the sytem the original never released on? i'm talking about capcom fans on the PS3 in general!

the last paragraph really isn't an issue in my opinion.

wait until we have the numbers from the US launch.

can't cause it won't matter. we are still talking about fans of capcom in general not an exsisting franchise?

why bring up sales then if it doesn't matter ?

And a true and dedicated Capcom fan would've gotten the console with the most Capcom games, which was the 360 at that point of time.

not if its not there prefured console, and street fighter could be the reason for gamers chose not to get a 360. there was no word origonaly of street fighter going multiplatform before the PS3 laugnched and also because like most games this gen they thought it would hit PS3 eventually.

and me bringging up the sells of the game is to show the fan base is there.

wasn't the rumor of SF4 being PS3 exlcusive sometime in mid or late 2007 ? Dead Rising and Lost Planet were still only on 360 at that time. So Capcom fans should have decided before

rumors don't rule all gamers, and on that same note the rumor of those games coming to PS3 prevented them from buying a 360. and the rumor that ST4 was coming to 360 prevented 360 owners form buying a PS3.

true! but games! do! and at that time Lost Planet and Dead Rising were 360 exclusives, with no mention of SF4 being in developement whatsoever.

Also I doubt someone believed theses porting rumors, because at that time the PS3 was fairly new and it wasn't common knowledge that 360 games tend to be ported over at a later date.

(thought i'd do alittle editting hope don't mind)

and there u have it.

the only thing i'll add is that its capcom so gamers thought eventually those games would come to PS3. yea the porting thing would be come mystifying and un-none to gamers until now or then.

Capcom really fucks up with their DLCs...

They got thousands of people to buy "outfits" for SFIV and SSFIV making money off little effort - I don't think they are fucking up, they know the right target audience as well. Obviously if it would have made them money to release the DLC on both platforms they would have.

It's just that simple.

Giving exclusive story content to only 1 party is giving the other party a kick in the balls. They payed for the same game, but still get less. Even if you have to pay for the dc, its still screwing one party over for not even giving them the chance to buy/play it.

I`m hating dc more and more.

Did people not hear the news or something?

Microsoft asked Capcom to make exclusive DLC for the X360 version of Dead Rising 2  and Capcom gladly agreed because MS supported them throughout the development and launch of Dead Rising 1 and so Capcom made Case Zero and Case West and think of them as gifts to Microsoft for their support.

At first I didn't understand why Capcom didn't make a PS3 version of Case Zero because I thought it'd make sense since it was a prologue and PS3 owners would've not had played DR1 but then I realised the reasoning behind it and then changed my mind on this.

I thought this was a thread about getting sick and tired of Inafune's bullshit but I guess not.

Hey come on now. That DLC was a present for Xbox 360 owners because they made Dead Rising 2 what its is. Remember if it wasn't for Playstation then Resisident Evil wouldn't have been what it is today hence why the PS3 got exclusive DLC for Resident Evil 5. Fair is fair man. Anyway I played Case Zero in my brothers house. Your not missing much man.

You should be lucky DR2 actually went multiplat

More like Capcom should be lucky that loads of PS3 owners buy DR2 to help them out of there financial troubles
