I've seen a lot of PS3 commercials on the Discovery Channel (surprsingly). In fact, just yesterday I saw 3 Move commercials in a 2 hour span and they mentioned GT5 in them. I haven't seen a GT5 specific commercial yet though.

I think their going to market GT5 heavily when it's 2 - 3 weeks from release. It's their flagship title.

considering gt5 and move are the only MAJOR releases for sony this holiday i expect major marketing for both.

I haven't seen 1 Advert at all and were like 5 weeks to release not to mention it's NA the weakest region for GT5 so I'd say NOT THAT WELL.

lol what game gets ads 5 months in advance? dont expect them until late october and they should carry on through the holidays.

Well, Halo Reach's campaign started way back in early August, so, Sony haven't advertised for anywhere near as long.

Well the game releases in 4 weeks and considering theres no ads shown yet on tv then I'm going to say they'll advertise it very badly.

I expect to see ads on bread and water.

What's with people wanting ads 4 weeks in advance?   You see the ad, it gets you excited to get it, but you can't because it's a month away. Then you forget about it, and put it on the back burner.

I understand the online fanbase wants it advertised because they want it to sell well, but it's coming out during the holidays. Sony will advertise this with there marketing campaign over the holidays. They've had a holiday ad campaign the last 3 yrs in a row for PS3 games so i don't think there gonna stop now.

Your gonna see ads a week to a few days prior to release, and ongoing through the end of Dec to keep those week by week sales going strong. I have no doubt there will be somg good advertising for GT5 next month..
