Forums - Sony - Eurogamer Expo: Guerrilla Games Interview : Very interesting read

It's 3 pages long so I won't post it word to word here, go to this link

Very good read if you ask me. Lots of honest answers and about what we can expect.

Also I was spot on when I said the multiplayer footage they showed remineds me of a wasteland, pretty sure it's what being referred to in the interview. You won't see rainbows in a wasteland

Well of course it reminded you of a wasteland because it is a wasteland.

Exactly! And when it first came out many were complaining why there is no more color in that map, and me and few others said it looks like a toxic wasteland and hence no colors, which is confirmed now.

they're probably got used to Fallout 3, that game is so colorful .........especially in the first 2 seconds into it.

The bit about taking cues from Naughty Dog has me worried about the story.  I hope they don't think "light-heartedness" is solely what made Uncharted 2's narrative so good.

But I've always been under the impression that Steven Ter Heide isn't very involved on the story side, which would explain why his comments on the narrative always seem rather general and... stupid, while what we've seen of cutscenes in Killzone 3 paints a much better picture of what to expect.

I hope the guys in charge of that aspect really know what they're doing.

Edit:

Also, his comments on the controls are rather enlightening:

"The controller lag was an issue. It should not have been there. We'd been developing that game for a long time. We spent about three and a half years on it. At some point you get blind to certain things because you get used to it. You get used to the button configuration being a certain way. You get used to how things respond.

We didn't get enough objective data to get those kind of bugs out. They are bugs and they should not have been there. If you press a button stuff should happen on screen. It's as simple as that."

This definitely implies that they're "fixing" the controls primarily by removing the input lag, while the weighted feel and animations should remain similar to what they were in Killzone 2.  That's basically what Sam Bishop said in his impressions from a few months back.  It feels like Killzone 2, only snappier and more responsive.

"We can't get a bucket of snow from Naughty Dog and put it in our game."

Hahahahaha!  This made my day.  It would be pretty sick if they could do that.
