They should do a "this gen" list AKA Fall 2005-Current

Anyways I'm not a PC gamer but its a cool list I guess.

Why? The PC doesn't have 'gens'.

So we can compare the quality of PC games to console games from this console gen.

Thats actually a pretty good list.

I think they got the top 4 right, after which I have disagreements with.

The World of Warcraft needs to switch places with Starcraft 2. Ever since it's release, the World of Warcraft has been a goldmine and the industry standard for MMORPGs. Furthermore, Warcraft 3 needs to be at 6.

As for Starcraft 2, I don't think it should even be on the list. Why it got on the list and so high is the hype factor and timing. Of course Starcraft 2's obvious imbalance issues and full release with Legacy of the Void in 2014 will be overlooked because it came out not even 6 months prior to this list being conceived. They take the hype while completely glossing over Blizzard's bullshit of well...Heart of the Swarm is 18 months out because we need it to be integrated with battle.net.

Bullshit, Kotick and Morhaime want paced releases with a year and half in between in order to keep their stock price stable and investors investing in Activision Blizzard, it has nothing to do with development and everything to do with business.

Starcraft 2 is arguably a top 50 game. Definitely not a 5 or even in the top 25.

Kotick? Mr annualised franchises delaying the game?  unlikely, more likely they are trying to move the release foreword. Hell if Kotick had his way there would probably be a new Starcraft game every year...

StarCraft > StarCraft II

This

That.

also Baldurs gate 1 > baldurs gate 2

Overall, not a bad list though

Nah. For me, the music and some of the art is better in BG1, but as a game BG2 is leagues ahead (opening dungeon aside). Mind you, with Tutu it doesn't make any difference as you can play everything through pretty seamlessly.

Why do they call it modern? There are games from 10 years old in this list. I know those games aren't ancient, but a top 25 from the last 5 years seems more "modern".

If a game's good, it doesn't matter how old it is. Games like Counterstrike, Deus Ex, BG 2 and Warcraft 3 are still played by lots of people.

Haha, yeah, I mostly hate BG2 for the opening dungeon :P I felt the sidequests and just wandering around was better in BG1
