Hmm, I agree that the "Best Driving Game" category is a load of bunk. Look at the nominees:

DiRT
Forza Motorsport 2
Need for Speed ProStreet
Project Gotham Racing 4

OK. So Motorstorm didn't win. But it's not even nominated? Is it a coincidence that ALL FOUR of these titles are available on, well ... the same platform Bioshock and Halo 3 are on?

Same deal with a bunch of categories ... multiplayer, GotY, all 360 titles.

And Orange Box nominated for pretty much everything? Didn't this game come out about three years ago on the PC or something?

Whatever.

The most egregious errors I see are that Warhawk was not even nominated in the multiplayer category, and Galaxy was not nominated in the soundtrack category.

That's a shame.

My GOTY too. I'm pleasantly surprised Halo 3 didn't get GOTY or FPS of the year, more credible than I expected from the Spike awards, but the actual show was more painful than sticking a needle in your eye.

Orange Box had 3 brand new games.

Also is anyone shocked most of the nominees were on the 360? They had the best games for this year.

 I think it helps when they release the GOTY edition in a few months at a lower price

BTW I think spike tv has been doing these awards for what 2-3 years now? I don't remember when I saw the first one on tv.
