Nice work , it's the best that can be done right now , but you can't use that percentage of starter kits vs single move purchases forever you know , I hope ioi is going to provide us with the "real" numbers , he told that he will .

I agree, it's a temporary thing until we get the real figures, then I can do the proper maths rather then just figuring it out from those percentages, as week to week it will fluctuate just as attach ratio does, it will get ugly

no but you did say that over 300k units were sold http://gamrfeed.vgchartz.com/story/82269/playstation-move-300000-units-sold-in-first-ten-days/
but seen as that is the only figure i have, not much more i can do, anyway peeps got what they wanted a way of tracking single move purchases, if you have more data for me I can do a better job

| ioi said: The 300k is an estimate of starter kits stand-alone purchases not as a second controller (in the same way that the 140k in week 1 was) so all of your figures are off I'm afraid. |
That was the way i did it read again please(it was just starter kits), and it was 120k as I got told by someone else(something about taking away 20k for eye owner purchases), the standalones is purchasing of second controllers/pseye owners
Then I simply added the standalone amount for each week what i worked out to the original sales amount for the week, hope it makes more sense to you now
Also I spotted some errors in some of the other threads SC does not have 80% attachment it has 83% as 250k / 300k is 0.83333 reoccurring(not unless you took 250k and times it by 1.2 as another person told me you may have done), and that 25% for standalone figure is wrong as you need to include all eye sales so far, which like I said earlier on should be at least 1million thanks to eye of judgement, eyepet and singstar

I have read what you've put and your figures are incorrect for week 2 but fine for week 1 (given rounding etc). |
thats because i worked it out based on share of total sales for week 1, so week two sales 70k in us(59% of sales) right, well take that figure and work out the original amount it would have been at 100% which is 118, 644 (rounded) take off the 70k and you are left with stand alone figures for that week which is 48, 644, add that to week 1 what do you get yes you get my figure of 83, 644, i did it that way as sales fluctuate each week. If I got that part wrong it's my bad mistake, but I dont mind being corrected, let me know either way it's all good
but it's just a temporary method like you said it will be out by a fair margin, and we won't know for sure until we have shipment data, and more information, if you used heavily rounded numbers yes my figures will be out even more, just saying

| ioi said: You're missing what I'm saying. Where you have "combined sales", "VGC Move bundles tracked" you have 300,000 as of 25th September, this figure is wrong - the 300,000 includes move bundles plus some standalone so that your "Total Sales" is more like 400k than 460k. Doesn't matter that much either way due to error margins at this stage but I'm just pointing out that you have misunderstood the 300k figure I put up this week. |
Ah ok, I thought it was all single starter kits again my bad, in that case you are right it needs adjusting down somewhat, how many standalones was included out of curiosity??

sports champions sales was around 80,000k this week, this should mean around another 80k-100k(max) of moves was sold, bringing the total of move sales in to around 540, 786k - 560, 786k(max), i will take the middle of that to play safe so lets say around 550, 786k move sales
