Forums - General - Metal Gear Realism

Any of you like how the Metal Gear series tries to stay a little realistic to the real world ? (despite the super natural enemies) But I mean when Hideo includes PMCS, Real Guns, Presidents, Certain Wars, Etc ?

Ever freaked out by the reality of PMCS (Private Military Contractors) like Blackwater (which is hired by the US right now) and then compare it to MGS4 and how PMCS are the economic global pillar in that world ?

Or how about Metal Gears ? Haha, I mean has anyboy seen the Mule robot on Youtube ? Kinda creepy.

Nanomachines ? Yea we have those too, and I hear there is a plan to put those in blood streams... (?)

Whats your insight and thoughts ? I would type more but I am kinda tired.

I like the Real Life footage and how they make the events of conspiracy theory adapt to the game.

I've never been interested about MGS but their is something about MGS4 that has peaked my interest far enough to the point of actually making me want the game.

that's the thing, I can't put my finger on it, but their is just something about the game that made me think "Damn this is one game I'll be getting", It could be those sweet female beasts, or the fact that the game tries to be so realistic and yet have such a fantasy twist to it with them bosses, or the fact snake can increase his morale or something by looking at woman in bikinis and after a while he's got to get a new maggazine cause they don't do it for him anymore.

If you think the nanomachines bit is interesting, read Michael Crichton's Prey.

haha yea it casts a lure

Can't wait till it comes out... Grandpa Snake killing people
