Of course they will let him. I have a feeling that Sony will buy Eat, Sleep, and Play anyways once it gets big.

If sony wants Jaffe then they won't buy his Dev studio, I mean Jaffe wants to be in an independantr studio and that was his reason fo leaving in the first place, well that and being with his family.

Now what will most likely happen is that Eat, sleep, and play will become a second party developer to Sony, just like Insomiac is, that way Jaffe's studio remains independant and get its projects funded while Sony gets exclusive games from them with a high profile developers name, this way it's a win win situation.
